Director of Coaches
Carlos has been a part of CourtSense since its inception and is an intricate part of the success of this program. Carlos is one of the most talented and dedicated coaches in the game of tennis today.
He began his professional career over twenty years ago, working tirelessly with the Mexican Tennis Federation (MTF) in the development of young players, producing two top-ten junior players in the world, Luis Flores (#9 in the world, singles, ITF Juniors) and Enrique Abaroa (#1 in the world, doubles, ITF Juniors). Identified by the MTF as one of the best coaches in Mexico, he was selected to be head of player and coach development for his country. Carlos’ consummate desire to become the best coach possible, led him to study under Jose Higueras for over four years. Throughout his career, Carlos has worked with world-class players like Dmitri Tursounov and Todd Martin, and currently plays an instrumental role in Christina Mchale’s success on both the Junior and Professional tours. Carlos’ drive for excellence challenges each player he coaches to be the best he can be. His experience, dedication, and drive make him a tremendous asset to the CourtSense program and every player he teaches and coaches.
