Davor was one of the top players in Croatia and competed extensively as a junior all over the country. In 1990 Davor lived at the famed Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy, training alongside some of the world’s very best. He competed on the ITF Satellite/Futures pro circuit before attending Seton Hall University on a full tennis scholarship, playing successfully at #1 singles for all 4 years. Davor holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.A. in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University. His senior year, in 1998, he was the Seton Hall University Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Davor has been coaching tennis since 1997. In more than 23 years of experience, he has developed and worked with many elite junior tennis players who went on to play division 1 college tennis at some of the top programs nationwide. Davor also coached players who competed on the ITF junior circuit and the pro tour. Most recently he has coached Bernarda Pera (#64 WTA) at the 2019 U.S. Open and NYJTL Bronx Open. In addition to high performance competitors, Davor has extensive experience coaching players of all different ability levels – adults and juniors. From 2012-2017 Davor was the Head Tennis Professional at Morristown Field Club, one of the oldest tennis clubs in the country. He joins our CourtSense family after working at The Club at Mendham, in Mendham, NJ.
