Extensive experience in the tennis industry as well as coaching players of all ages and levels helps Christopher Pucci stand out as one of the nation’s premier tennis professionals. At Pace University, Christopher was a “walk-on” freshman; played #1 singles and doubles for four straight years, and was team captain for two years. He graduated with a BBA in Accounting from the Lubin School of Business and was named Who’s Who in American Universities and Colleges along with receiving the “Pace Setter” of the Year and “Pace Setter” Extraordinary awards. In 1989 Christopher played his last professional event to pursue his coaching career.
He has coached adult and junior players from beginner to high profile world ranked. Some of the elite players he has coached were Tim Mayotte, Martina Navratilova, David Witt, Chris Cocotos (NCAA Champion), Haig Schneiderman (Columbia University standout) and Li Fang (China’s #1 ranked player, WTA top 40) as well as being involved with other world ranked players as a practice partner or specialty coach. Christopher has been affiliated with other coaches such as Billie Jean King, Craig Kardon, Tom Gullickson, and has worked in conjunction with the USTA Rookie Pro Program.
Christopher would later returned to competitive tennis and held an ITF world singles ranking and a USTA national singles and doubles ranking in the men’s 35 and over category until his mid forties. Christopher’s playing and coaching has taken him all over the world include Asia, Europe, Central America and throughout North America.
He has been recognized in Sports Illustrated, Tennis Week, Smash, National Tennis (China), and Platform Tennis, as well as on HBO, CBS, Area Sports Network (China), USA Network, and various industry websites. Past Facilities and Clubs that Christopher has been affiliated with were: The West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills, New York as the Club’s Tour Professional from 1986 – 2001 and the Director of Tennis, Head Professional from 1996 – 2001, Franklin Lakes Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey 2001 – 2008 and West Rock Indoor Sports & Entertainment Complex’s in Bardonia, New York, 2008-2013. Christopher is a USPTA and PTR certified professional, a Nike Club Professional since 1996, a Nike product field tester since 2000 as well as on the Yonex Professional Team since 1992. Christopher resides in New Jersey with his wife, Sonia and daughter, Kylie.
